  Obituary: The Santiam News, 15 Jul 1915. Solomon Grimes. married to Mary E. Hildebrand, February 13, 1861. to them were born 11 children, seven sons and four daughters, all of whom are living. He also had 47 grandchildren, all living but one, and six greatgrandchildren, all living. moved to Linn county in 1881, settling near Scio where he had since resided. he leaves three brothers and two sisters.
