  Obituary: The Santiam News, 6 Jun 1902. died at his home in Albany. aged about eighty years. wife died a few years ago. Buried next to his wife, who died a few years before him. Has three sons, Hon. Lark Bilyeu, of Eugene, Hon. R. Bilyeu, of Albany and Jas. A. Bilyeu, of Scio. A second wife, whom he married a couple years ago, survives him.
