  Obituary: The Santiam News, 10 Oct 1902 & October 17, 1902. Grandpa Wilfong died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. A.R. McDonald, 4 miles east of Scio. In 1836 he was married to Miss Sarah Large and two sons were born to them. married to Mrs. Elizabeth Argabrite, and five children blessed this union, all of who survive him except one daughter. He came to Linn County, Oregon in 1863 where he remained for 7 years.
